The Celo Foundation has awarded a grant to Techtec Inc, the team behind Proof of Learning (PoL), the widely used online blockchain learning program in Japan. Techtec is applying this grant toward a new PoL course for developers to learn about building on Celo. With PoL, users can learn about crypto, blockchain, and blockchain projects around the world online. Many of the projects that are well known in Japan have gained prominence after being published in PoL.
As of June 14th, PoL is offering this free online course to students who want to learn about Celo. The program consists of the following:
- Celo’s mission and blockchain technology
- Celo Dollar (cUSD) and Celo Euro (cEUR) stablecoins: what they are and how to use them
- The Celo ecosystem of dApps and partners
“The world that Celo aims to create is the essence of DeFi and Web3 itself,” said Tomohiro Tagami, CEO of Techtech. “With this grant, we hope to join their inner circle and bring the knowledge we gain back to the DeFi/Web3 industry in Japan. I will also do my best to contribute to the realization of financial inclusion from Japan as a concrete first step of Techtec Social Action.”
“We are really excited to work alongside PoL to serve the Celo community in Japan. Learning about Celo on the PoL’s platform is a great way to get started in crypto,” said Daniel Olarte, Service Design Partner at the Celo Foundation, working on Celo.
